Opis wydarzenia:

London-based jazz singer Jane Parker has performed in all the top venues including Ronnie Scott’s, the 606 Club, the Cafe de Paris and we are now delighted to welcome her to Jazz Café POSK!

Her first album “Alligator Lounge” was recorded with her band Lush Life for 33 Records whilst her second “A Whisper of Love, A Whisper of Hate” a solo album inspired by her love of cinema received significant airplay on both Smooth and Jazz Fm.

Her many influences include Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Blossom Dearie and Eddie Jefferson.

Tonight she is singing her personal favourites and much loved standards from the jazz and blues songbook.

“Jane Parker’s breathy vocals, reminiscent of Rickie Lee Jones or sometimes Billie Holiday are both sultry and steamy as the bayou itself” Blueprint

“Parker is a bon vivant, a kittenish version of Madeleine Peyroux in love with the glamorous ‘old world’ pleasures of cocktails, vampy femme fatales and indoor smoking, well aren’t we all? “ Jazzwise

“The splendidly retro Jane Parker arrived in high heels and lacy black number to sing Sugar and The Man I Love emoting a wide eyed breathless devotion that recalled Marilyn Monroe in Some Like it Hot” Jack Masserik, Evening Standard

“Her hypnotic renditions of classic standards are quite special, possessing a timeless elegance that is both wistful and sweet’ Steve Rubie, 606 Club
